stage Packing List for P1

Packing for your pilgrimage is easy because we wear a uniform for most of the week. FIRST TIME STAGE PILGRIMS WILL RECEIVE YOUR UNIFORM ITEMS AT THE AIRPORT. SAVE ROOM IN YOUR BAG FOR THEM. OLP will provide you with 4 shirts, a warmer layer, drawstring bag, and poncho.  Laundry will be done mid-week to wash the uniform shirts and shorts. Please make sure you look at the details for your trip since uniforms differ for pilgrimages and stage trips.

OLP WILL PROVIDE

  • 4 white OLP uniform t-shirts
  • 1 red OLP windbreaker
  • 1 drawstring bag
  • 1 red poncho

YOU WILL NEED

  • US Passport - keep a copy in your luggage
  • 2 pairs sneakers (comfortable shoes, on our feet all day)
  • flip flops for the hotel evenings if you like
  • socks and underwear for every day (8-10 days)
  • 1 day athletic clothes for climbing the mountain
  • 1 swim suit
  • sleepwear
  • 1 set clothes for the return trip home
  • Men - 4 pairs khakis (shorts or pants)
  • Women - either 4 white skirts knee length or longer (no short skirts, they will send you back from your work) or capri pants (white or khaki colored)
  • Women - 2 pair white biker/athletic shorts with 6-8" inseam to wear under your skirts for comfort

Other recommended items

  • medications - keep in carry on bag, do not put in checked luggage (bring extra in case of a delayed return)
  • cheap wrist watch
  • reusable water bottle
  • power converter
  • phone charger for return trip home - you will receive your phone back the night before we leave to charge
  • Euros for anything you would like to bring back, and of course for a crêpe or ice cream (there are two ATM machines in town, and bank/credit cards can be used at stores)
  • toiletries
  • sun block
  • hat for hot days
  • small umbrella 
  • book if you like for down time and going to sleep

what not to bring

  • hair dryer - they blow up, a European hair dryer is provided in each room
  • electronics (tablets, MP3 players, computers...) - phones will be collected on the bus to the hotel and returned the night before we depart
