"After serving the last malade of the day and having an opportunity of my own to bathe in the waters, I left the Baths feeling lighter than air, I had never seen a day filled with so much trust, respect, humility, and faith. Later that evening as our pilgrimage group gathered for evening Mass, the priest spoke about something that was quite relevant to the day’s events. He pointed out that it is common to pray saying “give me” and “help me”, but “use me” is often neglected. This message resonated with me as I remembered all of the sick people who had trusted me to assist them during a very personal time and how the Lord had “used me” to comfort them. This kind of service brought me the purest kind of happiness I had ever experienced.” - Tommy Flynn ‘06 |
